Mendelson, MBCP, CEM, is a seasoned expert in security, resilience, risk, and business continuity management with over 23 years of leadership spanning law enforcement, intelligence, organizational risk, and national security. A credentialed Master Business Continuity Professional and Certified Emergency Manager, James has led enterprise-wide continuity and risk programs across the U.S. Intelligence Community, advising senior government and White House leaders on continuity of operations, organizational risk, infrastructure resilience, and crisis response strategies.
Throughout his career, James has operated in some of the world’s most high-risk environments, managing tactical security operations, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and executing crisis response plans in both austere and classified settings. From global protective missions to leading federal pandemic task forces, he has consistently delivered mission-critical outcomes for no-fail organizations under pressure. His expertise spans not only boardroom strategy but also the field-tested realities of operational threat management in volatile environments.
Whether he’s writing on risk and resilience, leading strategy sessions, or supporting organizational transformation, James brings boots-on-the-ground practicality to even the most abstract challenges. Outside the office, he’s a proud single father to a bold and fierce daughter, outdoor enthusiast, disciplined kettlebell and martial arts practitioner, and mentor who sharpens future leaders with the same intensity he brings to mission-critical operations.
